Jeff Haley

Jeff Haley, 61, of Monticello, passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 15, 2023. Jeff was born on Oct. 4, 1962, in Brookhaven to James Haley and Rebecca Hicks Boyd of Monticello.

A funeral service was held Dec. 21 at Monticello Methodist Protestant Church, with Bro. Dave Nichols and Bro. Kevin McAdams officiating.  Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Jeff loved his work as an armed security guard with Maxx Guard.  He was promoted to the position of captain before retiring.  He was an avid Buford T. Pusser fan and was close to Buford’s family. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and family. He also enjoyed visiting and talking with his friends on Facebook.

He is survived by his daughters, Sabrina Haley Green (James) and Kelsey Wallace; two sons, Andy Haley (Lena) and Christopher Haley (Kristin); four granddaughters and two grandsons; father, James Haley (Nelson); and his two brothers, Jimmy (Barbara) and Jay Haley (Angel).

Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Hicks Boyd; a sister, Lisa Haley; grandparents, A.D. and Wilma Hicks; also maternal grandparents, Lessie Stephens and Sidney Haley.
