Brisk Armstrong

Graveside services were held on May 21, 2026, at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Silver Creek, for Brisk Armstrong, 73, of Silver Creek, who passed away on May 14 at Jefferson Davis Extended Care Facility, Prentiss. Rev. Jerry K. Horton officiated. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of Lena Mae Horton and the late J.P. Armstrong. He was a member of Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall, Prentiss.

Mr. Armstrong was a truck driver. He enjoyed watching westerns and trucking cross-country.

He is survived by his mother, Lena Mae Horton, of Silver Creek; sons, Brisk Armstrong Jr., of Michigan; Kellie Armstrong, of Charlotte, N.C.; daughters, Chancey Armstrong, of Brookhaven; Ariel Miller, of Rockville, S.C.; Veonica Price, of Bassfield; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, W.J. Armstrong, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; Wardell Horton, of Silver Creek; Jerry K. Horton, of Prentiss; Danny K. Horton, of Silver Creek; Charles E. Horton, of Gulfport; Ricky Harris, of Monticello; sisters, Clara Horton, of Hattiesburg; Verlena Fairley, of Carson; Grace A. Jones, of Moss Point; and many other relatives and friends.
