Marcus Lee Cameron

Funeral services were held on May 22, 2026, at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Silver Creek, for  Marcus Lee Cameron, 66, of Columbia, who passed away on May 12 at Forrest General Hospital, Hattiesburg. Rev. Dr. Wesley Bridges officiated, with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He is the son of the late George Cameron Sr. and Voncile Marie Aultman Cameron. He was a member of Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Silver Creek.

Mr. Cameron worked in the trucking/CAD industry. He served in the United States Army, and enjoyed life, trucking, and 18-wheeler (Swift).

He is survived by his brothers, Derrick Cameron, of Silver Creek; George Cameron Jr., Dennis Cameron, and Johnny Ray Cameron, all of California; and many other relatives and friends.
