Eric King

A graveside service for Eric King will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at Divide Memorial Methodist Protestant Church Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday at Divide Memorial Methodist Protestant Church. Riverwood Family is handling the arrangements.

Eric King, 59, of Monticello, passed away on May 30. He was born in Brookhaven on Aug. 13, 1966, to James Barney King and Janie Mahaffey King.

Eric was an avid Ole Miss Fan. He enjoyed coaching his children in sports throughout their years. He also enjoyed watching and supporting his grandchildren in sports.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Heidi King; sons, Brett King (Elizabeth),  Sean Roe (Dakotah), Drake Roe, and Trent Roe; daughter, Blake King (Jesse Stuart); four grandchildren, Harper King, Nash Roe, Madyson Stuart, and Paisley Stuart; mother, Janie Mahaffey King; brother, Randy King (Tina); sister, Phyllis Smith (Tommy); and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Crystal Thibodeaux.
