Stevie Lydell Watson

Funeral services were held on Aug. 30, 2025, at Quinn Temple COGIC, Monticello, for Stevie Lydell Watson, 61, of Silver Creek, who passed away on Aug. 13 at his residence. Elder Stanley Bridges officiated, with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Watson is the son of the late Ollie Lee and Myra Bridges Watson. He attended Rose Hill Baptist Church and China Lee Baptist Church, Silver Creek.

Mr. Watson was a masonry master. He enjoyed working, playing Poker, and managing “The Bottom.”

He is survived by companion, Annie O’Neal Williams Howard, of Silver Creek; Zenobia Watson, of Chicago, Ill.; daughters, Zephanye Willis, of Las Vegas, Nev.; Phyallen Chaney, of Las Vegas, Nev.; two grandchildren; siblings, Claudetta Sutton, of Silver Creek; Charles Ray Price, of Silver Creek; Breda Fuller, of Chicago, Ill.; Francine Watson, of Monticello; Antwyn Watson, of Hattiesburg; Kevin Watson, of Chicago, Ill.; Keith Watson, of Buffalo, N.Y.; Tierra Watson, of Chicago, Ill.; Jannice Bracie, of Chicago, Ill.; and many other relatives and friends.
