Judy Kay White

Funeral services were held on Aug. 16, 2025, at China Lee Baptist Church, Silver Creek, for Judy Kay White, 65, of New Orleans, La., who passed away on Aug. 4 at University Medical Center, New Orleans. Rev. Jerry Earl officiated, with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Ms. White is the daughter of the late Jeanette Gardner White. She was a member of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, New Orleans.

Ms. White was a lifelong educator. She devoted her life to serving and following Christ as her Savior. She became an inspiration to many, offering hope to others facing similar struggles and reminding them that God’s grace is sufficient for every trial.

She is survived by her sons, Devin White and Denzel White; sisters, Tammy Mack and Melissa White; aunt, Isadell Castle; uncles, Ira, Freddie, and Talman Gardner; nephews, Travis White and Darrin Johnson; four great-nephews; four great-nieces; and many other relatives and friends.
