Charles Glyn Mullins

Charles Glyn Mullins, 74, passed away on March 6, 2025, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Charles was born on June 29, 1950, in Lawrence County to Dempsey Mullins and Ava Faye Duckworth.

Funeral services were held on March 8 at Sauls Valley Baptist Church in Monticello. Bro. Michael Alexander officiated, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He attended Topeka-Tilton High School. Charles married Marilyn King on June 28, 1969. He worked at Georgia-Pacific in Monticello for over 30 years. In 1994, Charles and Marilyn opened MC Medical together and ran the family business for 20 years. Charles was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the river, and riding his Harley any chance he could get.

He was a loving husband and father, but his main love in life was being a Poppy to his grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife of 54 years, Marilyn King Mullins, and his parents.

Mr. Mullins is survived by his daughter, Terri Mullins Johnson, of Brookhaven; son, Keith (Meghan) Mullins, of Monticello; four grandchildren, Matti B and Sophee Johnson, of Brookhaven, Rayce Mullins and Madison Norwood, of Monticello. He is also survived by a sister, Wanda Mullins, of Ashville, N.C.

Pallbearers for Mr. Mullins were Rayce Mullins, Donnie Mullins, Shane Tankley, Shane Tullis, Jermey Tanskley, and Lee Robbins.

Honorary pallbearers were Nicky Gunnell, Wilvie Price, John Ratcliff, and Rocky Tanksley.
