Ann Brown McDaniel

Graveside services for Ann Brown McDaniel were held Nov. 23, 2024, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Simpson County, with Rev. Larry Mangum officiating. Mrs. McDaniel, 87, passed away Nov. 20 at her home in Canton. Saulters Moore Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. McDaniel was born on Jan. 15, 1937, in Simpson County to S.E. and Lena Sutton Brown. A native of New Hebron, she was a graduate of New Hebron High School. Having made her home in Jackson, Mrs. McDaniel retired after many years of service at the Merchants Company. Afterward, she worked as a receptionist at the Methodist Hospital in Jackson for several years. Mrs. McDaniel was a Baptist.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin McDaniel, in 1966.

She leaves behind her cousins, Kendall Smith, and his wife, Susan, of Brookhaven; Carolyn Rogers and Sharon Fox, both of New Hebron; as well as her long-time friend and caregiver, Raymon Williams, of Canton.
