Billy B. Foster

Billy B. Foster, 88, of Monticello, passed away Oct. 30, 2024, at his residence. He was born Dec. 16, 1935, in Tilton.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31, at Wilson Funeral Home, 904 West Thomas E. Jolly Drive, Monticello. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 1, at New Zion Baptist Church in Monticello. Burial will follow in New Zion Cemetery in Monticello. Bro. Jeff Davis, Bro. Johnny Calcote, and Bro. Jared Hester will officiate. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Billy was the oldest living member of the Monticello Masonic Lodge No. 610.  He loved deer hunting with his buddy, Shay Ervin. Billy loved to hear deer dogs running.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Farmer Foster;  father, Albert Foster;  mother, Johnnie Mullins;  brother, Junior Foster;  and sister, Elizabeth Foster Rutland.

Survivors include his son, Darrell Foster, of Monticello;  daughters, Tracey Foster Carney (Emery), of Jayess, and Tammy Thames; two grandchildren, Monica Honea, Molly Foster; three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Rutland, Todd Rutland, Dale Mullins, Delane Ervin, Royce Renfroe, and Creg Madison.
