Jane Parkman

Funeral services were held Aug. 12, 2024, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Silver Creek, for Jane Ethel Parkman, 72, who died July 25 at University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson. Rev. Larry Smith officiated, with interment following in the church cemetery.  Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Parkman was born to the late Rosemary Cobb and Jacob Bryant in Lawrence County.  She attended school in Lawrence County and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Mrs. Parkman worked at John Ferrin Elementary School as a teacher’s aide and served as a PCA provider.

She is survived by three children, Sherron Parkman, Mona Parkman, and Cravies Parkman; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and sibling cousins, Gloria Preston and Ed Parkman.
