Lance Wayne Errington
Lance Wayne Errington, 59, of Oakvale, passed away April 7, 2024, at the University Medical Center in Jackson. He was born Nov. 13, 1964, in Jackson.
Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Lance loved his family. He loved to work on cars. Lance had a huge heart and was willing to help anyone at a moment’s notice. He considered himself as his family and friend’s protector.
Lance worked for many years at Georgia-Pacific in the powerhouse. Later in life, he was a boiler maker and a fireman, and an EMT as well.
Lance is to be honored as an organ donor with Mississippi Organ Recovery Association.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Clint Errington; grandfather, Earl Errington; grandmothers, Bertha Errington and Ruby Renfroe; nephews, Aubrey Jesse Sanders and Jacob Trace Errington; and niece, Ashton Brooke Sanders.
Survivors include his son, Ryan Errington; daughter, LaKisha Helton; grandchildren, Bentley Errington, Ann Marie Errington, Lala Errington, and Hayden Griffith; father, Donald Errington; mother, Ernestine Renfroe Errington; sister, Gina Sanders (Lance) of Oakvale; nephew, Matthew Ryan “Bubba” Sanders; nieces, Briana Sasser, Abbie Errington, Jessica Carter, Crystal Sanders, and Ashley Sanders; special friend, Tammy Errington; and his special baby girl, Adelynn Grace Sanders. He also is survived by a host of family and friends that loved him.
