Versie “Leon” Daughdrill

Versie “Leon” Daughdrill, 81, of Oakvale, passed away Aug. 6, 2023, at his residence. Leon was born May 25, 1942, in Lawrence County to Kirby Daughdrill Sr. and Lorraine Lewis Daughdrill.
A private family graveside service was held Aug. 8. Bro. Matt Robinson officiated, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Leon loved his family and working on race cars.
Leon is survived by his wife, Barbara Daughdrill, of Oakvale; sons, Lee Daughdrill, Timmy Daughdrill, Shannon Langston (Tammy), Simeion Langston (Melissa); brothers, Johnny Lee Daughdrill (Barbara), of Cypress, Texas; Chester Daughdrill, of New Hebron; Roger Dale Daughdrill (Debbie), of Silver Creek; and a sister, Ann Farmer (Robert), of Lafayette, La.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Daughdrill, of Brookhaven; Danny Mack Daughdrill, of Society Hill; and Kirby Jr. Daughdrill, of Stocktown, Norway; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
