Cephus Williams Jr.

Funeral services were held April 2, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel, Prentiss, for Cephus Williams Jr., 73, who died March 25 at Our Lady of the Lakes Medical Center, Baton Rouge, La. Rev. Wesley Bridges officiated, with interment following in Rose Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Silver Creek.
Mr. Williams was born to the late Cephus and C.L. Williams in Silver Creek.
He was preceded in death by a son, Themba Williams.
Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Rubie Williams, of Silver Creek; stepchildren, Melvin Barber, of Silver Creek; and Melissa Jordan, of Charlotte, N.C.; brothers, Robert Williams, of Seattle, Wash.; Charles Williams, of Fulgham, Texas; and Bobbie Williams, of Silver Creek; sisters, Jannie Williams, of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Fannie Williams, of Silver Creek; and Vanessa Parkman, of Monticello; and many other relatives and friends.
