Howard Brown

Graveside services were held Jan. 20, 2021, at Coleman Chapel Church of God in Christ, Silver Creek, for Howard B. Brown, 73, who died Jan. 11 at his residence. Rev. Marq Powell officiated, with Johnson Funeral Home handling arrangements.
Mr. Brown was born to Fred and Fannie Mae Brown in Barksdale, Ark. While living in Danville, Ill., he met and married his wife, Catherine. They and her children moved back to her hometown, New Hebron. He joined Coleman Chapel Church of God in Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Vanessa Hill; brother, William Brown, of Monroe, La.; and sister, Grace Brown, of Kansas City, Kan.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Brown; children, Marq (Doris) Powell, of Jackson; Barbara (Grace) Daggins, of Brookhaven; six grandchildren; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his dog, Bae Bae; and many other relatives and friends.
