Daisy Mae Barr

Daisy Mae Barr, 95, of Monticello, passed away Jan. 20, 2021, at her residence. Daisy was born Dec. 6, 1925, in Lawrence County, to George and Myrtis Catt Lambert.
Graveside services were held Jan. 22 at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello. Bro. Kevin Crozier officiated, with Wilson Funeral Home handling arrangements.
Daisy was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was very active in her church. She was a kind-hearted woman who enjoyed caring and providing for others, especially close friends and family. Daisy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Monticello. Daisy will be missed by everyone.
Daisy is survived by her daughter, Joyce Johnson, of Hattiesburg; son, Glenn Wiltcher (Diane), of Houston, Texas; one sister, Doris Shaw, of Monticello; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Those preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Harrell Barr; three brothers; and one sister.
