John Cherry Brown

Graveside services were held Sept. 3, 2020, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, Monticello, for John Cherry Brown, 66, of Monticello, who died Aug. 18 at North Shore Medical Center, Hammond, La. Rev. Willie J. White officiated, with Johnson Funeral Home handling arrangements.
Mr. Brown was born to the late Odell Sr. and Mary Brown in Monticello. He was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Springfield, La. He later moved back to Monticello and joined Oak Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Mary Smith, of Pascagoula; four granddaughters, Brittany Smith, Shada Smith, Keandra Smith, and AntiKqua Pryear, all of Pascagoula; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Brown, James Brown, Odell Brown Jr., Kent Aultman; sisters, Nora Brown, Margaret Brown, Veronica Brown, all of Monticello; and many other relatives and friends.
