Rev. John Mark Lambert
Rev. John Mark Lambert, 54, of Demopolis, Alabama, passed away November 30, 2018, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. Mark was born November 25, 1964, in Jackson to Kent Lambert and Annelle Howell Young.
Services were held Saturday, December 8, 2018, at Monticello Methodist Protestant Church in Monticello with graveside services following in Bethshan Cemetery. Rev. Claudio Leal, Rev. Charlie Joe Green and Rev. Reggie Smith officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mark was an ordained minister with the Methodist Protestant Church. He pastored in Mississippi and Alabama and served as a missionary in Belize, Central America. He was a veteran in the United States Army, serving during peace time. He enjoyed his grandchildren and Alabama Crimson Tide Football. His favorite expressions were “Praise the Lord” and “Roll Tide.”
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia “Cindy” Lambert of Demopolis, Alabama; daughter, Charity Curtis (Samuel) of Demopolis, Alabama; son, Wesley Lambert (DeDe) of Linden, Alabama; grandchildren, Kayden Lambert, John David Curtis and Danielle Curtis; his parents, Kent Lambert of Monticello and Annelle Young (Carl) of Monticello, and brothers, Adam Lambert of Monticello and Chris Lambert (Lawanna) of Ocean Springs.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Maxie Lambert and Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Howell, and aunt, Joan Lambert Stephens.
