James “Red” William Bozeman
Funeral services for James “Red” William Bozeman were held Friday, August 24, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello, with burial following in the Hepzibah Cemetery in Silver Creek. Bro. Bobby Dawson conducted the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Bozeman, 84, of Monticello, passed from this life Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at Lawrence County Hospital with his family by his side. He was born November 5, 1933, in Lawrence County to Sedgie Ford and Flora Peavey Bozeman.
Red in his younger days enjoyed horses and fast shooting. He retired from the oil field as a tool pusher and drove trucks. He served in the National Guard and was a loving father, grandfather and friend.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sister, Willie Pearl Kyzer; brothers, Sedgie Bozeman, Jr. and Paul Wayne Bozeman, and granddaughter, Alanna Anne Bozeman.
Survivors are his sons, David Wayne Bozeman of Silver Creek, Galen Ford Bozeman of Silver Creek and Michael Lambert of Jayess; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
