Elijah Randolph

Funeral services were held Friday, August 3, 2018, at Rose Hill M.B. Church in Silver Creek for Mr. Elijah Randolph, 81, who died Saturday, July 21, 2018, in Hattiesburg. Minister Williams officiated with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Elijah Randolph was born to the late Joe and Mattie Simmons Randolph in Arm. He was a member of Rose Hill M.B. Church. He attended China Lee and New Zion Schools while working on the farm. He worked on the piers on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and later returned to Arm, where he started his own business as a logger. He was known as “The Wood Boss” and “Rabbit.” He was a member of Masonic Lodge #63.
He is survived by four daughters, Joyce Randolph of Hattiesburg, Debra Randolph of Pearl, Gloria (Rowdy) Daughtry of Madison and Kirstie Manning of Oxford; three sons, Larry (Janet) Randolph of Hattiesburg, Fred L. Randolph of Hattiesburg and Kenric Rudolph of Silver Creek; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
