Billy Joe Parkman

Billy Joe Parkman, 77, was called home from this life March 3, 2018, at his residence in Stumptown. Billy Joe was born October 19, 1940, in Oak Vale to Everett and Myrtis Lowery Smith. He was the son of Alton Parkman.
Services were held at Hepzibah Baptist Church in Silver Creek Tuesday, March 6, 2018, with graveside services following in Hepzibah Cemetery in Silver Creek. Bro. Rick Munn and Bro. Ricky Johnson officiated the services, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Billy worked as a Tool Pusher in the Oilfield for many years, and then he started his own logging business until he retired. He enjoyed spending time outdoors in his garden with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Hepzibah Baptist Church.
Surviving Billy Joe are his wife, Carolyn Parkman of Stumptown; sons, Matt Parkman (Bedonna) of Stumptown and Michael Trott (Marty) of Silver Creek; daughter, Candence Parkman, also of Stumptown; grandchildren, Dametaris, Trista, Skye, Christen, Lancey, Lakyn and Landson; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Butchin Parkman (Opal), Lowery Parkman (Patsy), J.E. Parkman (Joyce), Jack Smith, Terrell Smith (Jennifer), Tom Smith (Debra) and Tony Smith (Angie) and one sister, Opal Oliver.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Everette and Myrtis Lowery Smith.
