Virginia Culpepper Turnage

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Turnage were held Saturday, July 1, 2017 at New Hebron Methodist Church in New Hebron. Mrs. Turnage, 80, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in New Hebron.
Reverend Mike Dubose and Reverend Mike Hart officiated. Interment followed in New Hebron Cemetery in New Hebron. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements.
Pallbearers were Robert Fortenberry, Albert Fortenberry, John Turnage Jr., Jack Gatlin, Lovie Gatlin, Corby Ready, Gavin Daughdrill, Joel Gatlin and Shelton Culpepper III. Honorary pallbearers were Wyatt Fortenberry, Asa Gatlin, Joseph Gatlin, Charlie Ready, Fletcher Fortenberry and John Spurgeon Turnage.
Mrs. Turnage worked as an LPN in the medical industry. She was a member of New Hebron Methodist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeanne (Barney) Calcote of Jayess and Cheri Turnage (Joel) Gatlin of Jackson; one son, John Shelton (Catherine) Turnage of New Hebron; two sisters, Juanita Thomas of Wesson and Mary Sue (Charles) Bradford of Byram; one brother, Shelton (Kathy) Culpepper of Bay Springs; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Albert John Turnage, Jr.
