Elvis Wilson Lambert

Elvis Wilson (E.W.) Lambert, 88, of Sontag, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 6, 2026. Elvis was born on Dec. 4, 1937, to Ellis Watson Lambert and Rosalie Boyte Lacrosse.

Funeral services were conducted at Monticello Methodist Protestant church in Monticello on April 8. Interment followed in Bethshan Cemetery. Officiating ministers were Bro. Bobby Dawson, Bro. Roger Smith, and Bro. Tom Belcher. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

E.W. was faithful to his Lord and Savior and very active in the ministry of the Monticello Methodist Protestant Church. He served in many capacities during his lifetime. He also worked for over 30 years at Kellwood Manufacturing in Monticello. He also was a veteran of the United States Navy from 1956-1960, where he served as a photographer.

E.W. was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Charlene Reynolds Lambert; and brothers, Jesse Paton Lambert, Gerald Lambert, and Paul Lambert.

E.W. is survived by his son, Tony Lambert; his daughter, Tina Southerland (Kenny); grandsons, Charles Clayton Lambert, Anthony Andrew Lambert, and Kristopher Ryan Lambert; one granddaughter, Hannah Southerland; three great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmy Lambert; and sister, Rose Templet.

The family would like to give a huge thanks to Becky Smith. She helped care for him for over three years during his sickness.

The family would also like to thank Arden Hospice for the love shown to their father.
