Johnny Calvin Williams

Funeral services were held Dec. 30, 2023, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Tylertown, for Rev. Johnny Calvin Williams, 71, who passed away Dec. 19 at his residence. Minister Travanti Williams officiated, with interment following at China Lee Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was the son of the late Joseph P. and Annie Mae Williams. He was the pastor of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Tylertown. Rev. Williams was retired. He served in the United States Army Coast Guard, where he received the Army National Defense Service Medal. He was a Mason, a teacher at Harper Baptist Seminary, Magnolia, and enjoyed being a carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Williams, of Silver Creek; son, Trevanti Williams, of Jackson; daughters, Javall (Marreo) Bridges and Trevish (Robert) Brown, both of Silver Creek; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
