Donations sought for teen injured in storm

Randy Alfaro
Lawrence County High School Soccer Booster Club is raising funds for one of its players, Randy Alfaro, a current junior, who was injured when a recent storm caused a tree to fall on his mobile home on Robert Tynes Road in Jayess.
Alfaro’s legs were pinned under the tree for more than four hours. Firefighters had to cut through fallen trees and debris, and carry their equipment for more than half a mile to get to him to begin the work of freeing him. Through it all, Alfaro was in good spirits and communicating with his family and the firefighters.
Alfaro is currently at Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital, where he has undergone multiple surgeries.
Since his family lost their home, and he will no doubt have a long recovery, the club is seeking donations to help the family will living and medical expenses. In addition, an RTIC cooler filled with summertime goodies will be raffled off with all money going to the Alfaro family. Donations can be sent to the booster club PayPal account- @LCcougarsoccer or the CashApp account- $LCcougarsoccer.
