County burn ban continues

A county-wide burn ban in effect for several months has been continued until Nov. 6  because there has not been enough rain in the county to ease the dry conditions that make wildfires a concern.

County supervisors voted Oct. 16 to extend the ban until their next meeting when it will be reconsidered. A statewide burn ban is also still in effect. The county ban will be re-evaluated during the Nov. 6 supervisor meeting.
