Vanteshia Preston receives DAR ROTC Award

Vanteshia Preston received the Daughters of the American Revolution ROTC Award, which consists of a bronze medal and ribbon bar, at the Lawrence County High School’s Senior Awards Night recently.
The award is presented annually to a cadet for outstanding ability and achievement. The cadet must be a member of the graduating class, be in the top 25% of the cadets in Junior ROTC and academic subjects, and have demonstrated qualities of dependability and good character, adherence to military discipline, leadership ability, and a fundamental and patriotic understanding of the importance of JROTC training.
Preston is the daughter of Emanuel and Van Preston.
