Sign-up deadline for LCHS girls basketball tryouts set for June 10

Tryouts for Lawrence County High School girls basketball will be held Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12. Girls who will be in grades 9-12 for the 2020-21 school year are eligible to try out.

Students must sign up by calling the high school office at 601-587-4910 between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The deadline is at 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 10.

I need to have a sign-up period before tryouts so I can assign the girls to pods of 10 people in order to be in compliance with the NFHS and MHSAA. Will you help me by getting the following information in the paper for all our girls who will be in grades 9-12 for the 2020-21 school year?

Once signed up, the student will be contacted by a coach with an assigned time and day to attend tryouts. Anyone who tries out must have a physical on file with Dragonfly or must bring a copy of a physical to tryouts.

Due to COVID-19, tryouts are closed to the public.
