Local libraries resume curbside services

Public libraries in Monticello and New Hebron recently resumed curbside services. Library facilities will continue to be closed, but patrons may call the library or place a request online (https://llf.biblionix.com/catalog/) to pick up materials.
Patrons are currently limited to five items at a time, and materials can only be returned through the library’s dropbox. A staff member will call when materials are ready for pickup. It may take up to 10 days for a material to become available if, for instance, it is in quarantine.
Pick-up times are as follows: Lawrence County Public Library in Monticello, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; and New Hebron Public Library, noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
When patrons arrive for pickup, they should call the Library and be prepared to provide their pickup location number, card number, and date of birth. Curbside service is not available during periods of rain or severe weather. Patrons must wait for the staff member to leave their materials on the pickup hook. Person-to-person handoffs are not allowed.
For more information or to place a request, call the Lawrence County library at 601-587-2471 or the New Hebron library at 601-694-2623.
The library reserves the right to refuse service for cause.
