    Christmas at the Grove

    3:30 pm-8:00 pm

    Christmas at the Grove will be held Saturday, December 14, at Oak Grove M.B. Church in Monticello. This year’s theme is “Guided by the Marvelous Light!” The event will begin with a Christmas Parade at 4 p.m. on Oak Grove Road. Lineup for the parade will begin at Grandberry Lane on Highway 587 at 3:30 p.m. There is no charge to participate. Floats, vehicles and ATVs are welcome. The parade will be followed by a Christmas Program with skits and music at 5 p.m. The event will end with dinner served immediately following the program.

    Monticello United Methodist Church will present their Christmas Cantata and collect the Christmas Benevolence Offering, Sunday, December 15.

    Toys for Tots Distribution

    2:00 pm-4:00 pm

    Toys for Tots will be at Oak Grove M.B. Church in Monticello, Sunday, December 15, from 2-4 p.m. Children Ages 0-18 can qualify but must be registered.     Doers of the Word Christmas Bag Distribution

    Doers of the Word Outreach Mission Center will be giving away Christmas bags of food, Thursday, December 19, from 1-4 p.m. Directors are James R. and Mary Pittman.

    Friendship Baptist Church will hold their Watch Services, Tuesday, December 31, beginning at 10 p.m. All are welcome to come and worship as they watch the old year out and watch a new year come in.
