    Friendship Baptist Church will hold their Annual Revival Services beginning Sunday, September 8, at 1:30 p.m. The afternoon speaker will be Rev. Michael Evans, Pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church in Silver Creek. The Evangelist for the week will be Rev. Phillip R. Hamilton, Pastor of Mt. Wade Baptist Church in Brookhaven. Services will begin at 7:15 p.m. each evening, Monday, September 9-Wednesday, September 11.

    ABATE of MS will hold its 31st Annual State Field meet at the Atwood Water Park in Monticello, Friday and Saturday, September 27-28. There will be a Live Band Friday and Saturday nights. The gate opens at 8 a.m. Friday. Advance tickets are available by contacting Carmen Hill at 601-754-8560. Advance tickets cost $15 for members and $20 for non-members. Gate fees are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Ages 6-17 are $8. Ages under 6 get in free. Camping will  be handled by Atwood Water Park. Call Monticello City Hall for details at 601-587-0045. Poker Run, motorcycle games and bike show will be held Saturday. This event is family oriented and open to the public.
