    Mt. Zion M.B. Church, located at 75 Mt. Zion Road, Sontag, will host their annual revival beginning Sunday, August 5, at 11:30 a.m. The speaker will be Pastor Keswic Alexander. The evening sermon will begin at 1 p.m. with speaker Rev. Arnold Brown, Pastor of St. Peter Rock Baptist Church in Beaugard. Services will continue Monday, August 6-Thursday, August 9, at 7:15 p.m. each night. The speaker for the week will be Elder Terry Bridges, Pastor of Holy Hill Church of God in Christ of Jayess.

    Salem M.B. Coming Home Celebration and Revival

    Salem Missionary Baptist Church, located at 333 Price Road, Jayess, will have their Coming Home Celebration Day, Saturday, August 11, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be food, fun and fellowship. Annual revival services at the church will begin Sunday, August 12, with the first service beginning at noon and the second service at 1:30 p.m. or immediately following the first service, whichever comes first. Monday-Wednesday, August 13-15, services will begin at 7 p.m. each night.

    Benefit Dinner for Stacie Pittman

    A Benefit Dinner will be held Saturday, August 18, at 6 p.m. at Pleasure Point Inn & Suites Multi-Purpose Building for Stacie Pittman. Stacie was diagnosed with scleroderma and pulmonary fibrosis in 2013. She will be having a double lung transplant and all proceeds from the dinner will help with out-of-pocket expenses that her insurance does not cover. Tickets for the dinner are $12 each and may be purchased by calling Jowanda Collins at 601-695-5862.
