    The Southwest Chapter of ABATE will have its 28th Annual Motorcycle Rodeo at the Atwood Water Park Pavilion. The gate, located at the tennis courts, will open at 9 a.m. with Fun Run starting at 10 a.m. Gate fees are $10 for members, $15 for non-members, $5 for ages 11-18, and children 10 and under get in free. T-shirts and ABATE products will be available. Motorcycle games start at 4 p.m. There will be raffles, 50/50 drawing, and trophy presentation at 6 p.m. Jam session will begin at 7 p.m. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Southwest Mississippi Children’s Advocacy in McComb.     Bishop De’Sean Toler and South Springhill Baptist Church will hold three nights of powerful preaching, praise and worship during Revival at 7 p.m. nightly Monday, April 23-Wednesday, April 25. Speakers include Pastor Sean Coney of Kingdom Seekers Ministry in Prentiss, Pastor Michael Smith of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Silver Creek and Min. Korey Langston of Divine Faith Baptist Church in Brandon.

    Monticello United Methodist Church will take their first trip in their new van, Tuesday, April 24. They will be touring the Old Capitol Museum and having lunch at the Iron Horse Grill. The first 14 passengers to sign up plus the driver will be going. Sign up sheet is in the media center of the church.

    A FREE Diabetic Education Class will be held Thursday, April 26, at 5:30 p.m. in the Lawrence County Hospital Classroom. This class is open to the public and is normally held the fourth Thursday of each month, January-October. Future dates currently set for 2018 are May 24, June 28, July 26, August 23, September 27 and October 25.

    Lawrence County Animal Rescue League will hold its annual members’ meeting at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 26, at the Lawrence County Public Library.

    The annual Pinola School Reunion will be held Saturday, April 28. Doors will open at 9 a.m. and a short business meeting will be held at 10 a.m., with a meal served following the meeting for $10 per plate.     The Annual Relay for Life Potato Dinner will be held Sunday, April 29, after morning worship at Monticello United Methodist Church. This will be a loaded baked potato with all the fixings and sides. Donations will be received the day of the dinner. No pre-sale tickets. A sign up sheet is available in the media center for those who would like to help with the meal.

    Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church will hold Revival Sunday, April 29-Wednesday, May 2. Sunday night service will begin at 6 p.m. and feature Ivan Cray. Monday-Wednesday, services will begin at 7 p.m. Monday will feature Tyler Bridge, Tuesday will feature Gerald Crabb of the famous singing Crabb Family and Wednesday will feature Carl Smith.
