    ABATE Motorcycle Rodeo

    9:00 am-9:00 pm

    The Southwest Chapter of ABATE will have its 28th Annual Motorcycle Rodeo at the Atwood Water Park Pavilion. The gate, located at the tennis courts, will open at 9 a.m. with Fun Run starting at 10 a.m. Gate fees are $10 for members, $15 for non-members, $5 for ages 11-18, and children 10 and under get in free. T-shirts and ABATE products will be available. Motorcycle games start at 4 p.m. There will be raffles, 50/50 drawing, and trophy presentation at 6 p.m. Jam session will begin at 7 p.m. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Southwest Mississippi Children’s Advocacy in McComb.     Retired Education Personnel Meeting

    Barbara Winston, District Six Director for Retired Education Personnel, will sponsor a membership/reorganization meeting, Saturday, April 21, at the Lawrence County Library in Monticello. All citizens of Lawrence County supporting public school education should attend from 11 a.m. until Noon.
