Thomas Wayne Wright

Thomas Wayne Wright, 66, of Monticello passed away peacefully at his home on Sept. 13, 2023. Thomas was born on July 20, 1957, in Guntersville, Ala., to Thomas Wayne and Mary Eidson Wright of Guntersville.
There will be a memorial service at a later date at Crooked Creek Baptist Church in Silver Creek. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
He is survived by his children, Thomas III (Trey), Mary Elizabeth Wright, and Haley Wright; his grandchildren, Alyssa Purifoy, Emma Purifoy, Gracelyn Collum, Natalie Wright, and Mary Katherine Collum; and his sisters, Camilla Roberts and Kristina Roberts.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Breck Wright.
Mr. Wright went to Delta State University on a track and basketball scholarship. He served in the United States Air Force as an air traffic controlman. He enjoyed golf, being outdoors, and spending time with his grandchildren. Thomas admired antiques and collectibles.
