Robin Gail Shumaker

Robin Gail Shumaker, 69, of Monticello, passed away July 2, 2023, at her residence. She was born Nov. 29, 1953, in Baton Rouge, La., to Bob and Dot Wilson Herring.
A funeral service was held July 8 at Carmel Baptist Church in Monticello. Graveside service followed at Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello. Kenneth Jeffery Herring and Hugh Watts officiated, with Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Robin enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed fishing with her husband at Lake Washington for many years. Robin was a member of Carmel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rickey Shumaker; and brothers, Kenneth Herring and Joe Herring.
Robin is survived by her children, Jason Shumaker (Carla), Jonathan Shumaker (Bailey), and Emily Stormo, all of Monticello; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brother, Jeffery Herring (Lyn); and two sisters, Michelle Montague and Sandra Langston.
