Mitchell Dale Lewis

Funeral services were held July 1, 2023. at St. Paul M.B. Church, Silver Creek, for Mitchell Dale Lewis, 65, who passed away June 25 at Lawrence County Hospital, Monticello. Dr. Michael O. Evans officiated. with interment following in Pearl River Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He is the son of the late Leo and Gloria Faye Lewis. He attended St. Paul M.B. Church. He was formerly an electrical engineer; loved listening to old school music, barbequing, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid fan of the New Orleans Saints and Miami Heat.
Mr. Lewis is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn Lewis, Silver Creek; three daughters, Shawanda Lewis, Silver Creek; Monica (Christopher) Odom, USAF Spangdahlem, Germany; Cassandra Lewis, Seattle, Wash.; one son, Matthew “Drummer Boy” Lewis, Silver Creek; brother, Marvin (Charlotte) Lewis, Silver Creek; sister, Shirley Ann Brown, Oakland, Calif.; three grandchildren, Reina, Gianna, and Deacon; and many other loving relatives and special friends.
