Monticello United Methodist Church’s Leadership Retreat was rescheduled for 10 a.m. to noon, May 20.
May 21
Antioch Baptist Church will hold its annual Homecoming service at 10 a.m., Sunday, May 21. The service will conclude at noon, followed by lunch and a time of fellowship. Bro. Cliff Smith will bring the message. There will be special music by George Volking. All offerings will go to the Cemetery Fund unless designated otherwise. Monticello United Methodist Church will have a fellowship lunch following morning worship on May 21. Bring a covered dish and enjoy the company of church members and friends.

Lawrence County Branch NAACP will host its third annual Freedom Fund Scholarship Gala at 7 p.m., June 10, at the National Guard Armory in Monticello. The theme for the gold and white affair is “A Call to Action.” Adult tickets are $30, and youth (12th grade and below) tickets are $10.
