Symphony to present concert May 16

Old Brook Wind Symphony will present a concert at 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 16, in the State Theater, 222 State Street, McComb. Leroy Smith and Stanley Stewart will direct.
This concert will include marches, a salute to the military services, classic band music, Dixieland, and big band classics. Two vocals with band accompaniment – “Straighten Up and Fly Right” by Nat King Cole, featuring Kelly Parker, and “At Last” by Harry Warren, with Michael Guttuso – will be presented.
The symphony has members from the Southwest Mississippi and as far away as the Jackson area. Anyone who enjoyed playing a band instrument is invited to join the symphony, as it’s always looking for new members.
