Donnie Lee Ball Sr.

Funeral services were held April 22, 2023, at Oak Grove M.B. Church, Monticello, for Donnie Lee Ball Sr., 59, who passed away April 12 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center, Jackson. Rev. Joseph D. Hooker officiated, with interment following in the church cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Ball is the son of the late Bertha Ball and William Ball Sr. He was a member of Oak Grove M.B. Church. He worked as an overnight stocker at Walmart and loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sherrona T. Ball, Monticello; sons, Antonio L. (Roget) Smith Sr., Memphis, Tenn.; Donnie L. Ball Jr., Bryam; daughters, Rozetta Howard and Lakeytra Fox, Jackson; mother, Esadora Ball, Prentiss; sisters, Etta (Jerome) Oatis, Doretha Ball, Shelia Ball, Veronica Ball, Beverly Barnes, all of Monticello; Judy Ball, Mableton, Ga.; Rachel Rucks and Carolyn (Kenneth) Green, Prentiss; brothers, Nelson (Michelle) Ball, New Hebron; Davis Ball, Monticello; Roger (Charlotte) Ball, Georgetown; James (Sharonda) Ball and Henry (Glenda) Ball, Prentiss; three grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
