Monticello woman killed on U.S. 98

A pedestrian fatality on U.S. Highway 98 in Pike County claimed the life of a Monticello woman Feb. 13.
According to information provided by Corporal Craig James, public affairs officer for Troop M, Angela Hope Wooley, 41, of Monticello, was killed about 8:30 p.m. after being struck by a 2005 Cadillac Escalade driven by Jer-Rel Mark, 30, of Tylertown. The vehicle was traveling east on 98 when it collided with Wooley, who died at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
