Jerry Carl Mosley Jr.
Funeral services for Jerry Carl Mosley Jr. were conducted Nov. 3, 2022, at Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jayess, with interment following in the Calvary Cemetery in Jayess. Bishop Ray Bowling, Pastor Elliot Rutland, and Justin Mosley officiated. Mr. Mosley, 48, entered into the eternal rest of his Lord Oct. 31 at a residence in Jayess.
Pallbearers were Aaron Loggans, Terrell Mosley, Scott Lewis, Trey Sistrunk, Jonathan Rutland, and Andrew Sistrunk. Honorary bearers were Rayford Sistrunk Jr. and Carl McGlothlin.
Jerry was an avid reader and very knowledgeable. He always had something to talk because he was always learning new things. He had a passion for conversing with elderly family members because he loved listening and learning from the stories. Jerry was also an experienced chess player. He had a passion for life and everything it had to offer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Carl Mosley Sr.; paternal grandparents, George and Maudie Mosley Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Vernon Matthews and Geneva Cockrell.
Jerry’s memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Cindy Sistrunk Mosley, of Pearl; stepdaughter, Jennifer McPhail (Adam), of Travis Air Force Base, Calif.; mother and stepfather, Wendall and Sue Rutland, of Jayess; three brothers, Jason Mosley, of Albuquerque, N.M.; Justin Mosley (Jessica), of Holly Ridge, N.C.; and Matthew Rutland, of Jayess; stepsister, Sandra Doll, of Gulfport; stepbrother, Tommy Rutland, of Jayess; and a grandson, Declan McPhail.
