Philip R. Poole

Philip R. Poole, 81, of Monticello, passed away July 22, 2022, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg. Philip was born June 21, 1941, in Warren, Ark., to Royce and Christine Adams Poole.
Memorial services will be held on a later date. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Philip retired from Georgia-Pacific as a chemical engineer after 38 years. Philip loved to hunt and fish and spending time outdoors. Philip was known for his dry sense of humor, work ethic, and his devotion to his family. He was a member of Wanilla Baptist Church.
Philip is survived by his wife of 52 years, Annelle Poole, of Monticello; son, David Andrews, of Monticello; daughter, Brandi Pittman, of Monticello; brother, Michael Poole (Johnny Karen), of Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Alex Andrews McLeod, Bailey Smith, and Cole Pittman; five great-grandchildren, Kylee, Madelyn and Cabie McLeod, Layla and Asher Shumaker.
Philip was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, John Thomas Poole.
