Charlene Brown

Funeral services were held June 8, 2022, at Johnson Funeral Home Chapel for Charlene “Cocoa” Brown, 48, who died May 30, 2022, at her residence. Elder James Lowe officiated, with interment following in Rose Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Miss Brown was born to Herbert Brown and the late Beverly Rogers Brown in Jayess. She attended Topeka-Tilton and Lawrence County High School. She was a cook at Ellisville State School.
Miss Brown was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Rogers and Stephanie White.
She is survived by her father, Herbert Brown; sister, Lakeisha Robert; special friend, Willie R. Bridges; aunt, Joenell Brown; nephews, Fredrick, Cedric, Tedrick White and Aaron Crockett Jr.; and many other relatives and friends.
