Nina Renfroe
Nina Renfroe, 93, of Jayess, passed away April 20, 2022, at her home. She was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Columbia to Buford and Lusettie Reid Holmes.
A funeral service was held April 24 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Monticello. Graveside service followed at the Tilton United Methodist Church cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Renfroe and her husband were recognized on their 75th wedding anniversary for being the longest-married couple in the state of Mississippi. She was a Christian woman who loved her church and the Lord; she also loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly. She was a true Southern lady. She also loved and enjoyed working in the yard and growing beautiful flowers.
She is survived by her husband of almost 77 years, Lee Roy Renfroe Jr.; and by her children, Ken Renfroe (Ginger), of Hattiesburg; and Wanda Renfroe, of Monticello. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Brian Renfroe, Bretlee Carney (Mandie), and Elizabeth Bracey (Joshua); five great-grandchildren, Chloe Carney, Brodie Carney, Ava Reid Bracey, Harper Bracey, and Kayte Bracey; and one sister, Charlene Graham (Boe), of Jayess.
Mrs. Nina was preceded in death by her parents and by three brothers and one sister.
