Lowery Austin Parkman

Lowery Austin Parkman, 86, of Jayess, passed away Aug. 20, 2021. Lowery was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Oakvale to Alton Parkman and Myrtis Lowery Parkman Smith.
A graveside service was held at Tilton United Methodist Church Cemetery on Aug. 22. Wilson Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
Lowery is survived by Penny Davis (Ricky), Randy Parkman (Tammy), Rusty Parkman, all of Jayess; Rocky Parkman (Pam), of Monticello; and Patty Busbin (Shawn), of Hattiesburg. He is also survived by six brothers, James Butchin Parkman, J.E. Parkman, Walter Allen “Jack” Smith, Terrell Smith, Thomas “Tom” Smith, and Tony Smith; one sister, Opal Oliver; as well nine grandchildren, Shane Davis, Shay Musgrove, Kelly Parkman, Glenn Parkman, Angela Smith, Kimberly Parkman, Kylie Parkman, Nicholas Busbin, and Faith-Ann Busbin; and 13 great-grandchildren, Chase Davis, Summer Jackson, Shana Davis, Wattson Musgrove, Waylon Musgrove, Harley Nichols, Taylor Rutland, Dianne Smith, Lucy Smith, Conner Smith, Andrew Barras, Elijah Vaughn, and Eden Vaughn. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, Barbara Randall, and a host of other family members and friends.
Those preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, Patsy Smithie Parkman; as well as one brother, Billy Joe Parkman; and one grandson, Lowery “Shawn” Davis.
