Gabriella Mulligan receives DAR Good Citizen Award

Gabriella Mulligan was presented the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen Award at Lawrence County High School’s Senior Awards Night recently.
The Daughters of the American Revolution is a women’s service organization where the members promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism in communities across the nation.
The DAR Good Citizen Award is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship. This award recognizes individuals who possess good citizenship qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. A high school senior is selected because he or she demonstrates these qualities to an outstanding degree.
Mulligan is the daughter of Shannon and Vicki Mulligan, of Jayess.
Alicia Reynolds, regent of the local Harmon Runnels Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, presented the award.
