Scholarship applications available at Extension office

Lawrence County Extension Service has scholarship applications available for two scholarships offered for county students.
The Lawrence County Cattlemen’s Association is currently accepting applications for the Cattlemen’s Scholarship. Eligible applicants must have a parent or grandparent member of the Mississippi and Lawrence County Cattlemen’s Association. All applicants must submit an application and an essay. The application deadline is Monday, May 3.
The Lawrence County Forestry Association is currently accepting applications for the Keith Carr Memorial Scholarship. All applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA; have a parent or grandparent in forestry or logging industry; must be attending a community college or senior college in the upcoming academic school year; and must be working toward an associate or bachelor’s degree. All applications will be evaluated on school activities, education goals, and academic records. Application deadline is Monday, May 3.
Both applications may be picked up at the Extension office located at 435 Brinson St. Ste. B, Monticello.
