Ellene Virginia Rivere

Ellene Virginia Rivere, 96, of Jayess, passed away April 25, 2021, at her residence. Ellene was born March 5, 1925, in Tylertown to Thomas and Ethel Sistrunk.
A funeral service was held April 28 at Divide Methodist Protestant Church in Monticello. Bro. LaDon Dawson officiated, with Wilson Funeral Home handling arrangements.
Ellene retired from Lawrence County Schools as a teacher. She was a loving wife and friend. She was a kind-hearted woman who enjoyed caring and providing for others, especially close friends and family. She was a member of Divide Methodist Protestant Church. Ellene will be missed by everyone.
Ellene is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lynn Rivere, of Jayess; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Those preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Robert Lee, Thomas R., Jolly C., and Dean B. Sistrunk; and one sister, Ina Lee Lloyd.
