Tilton United Methodist Church, 663 Hulon Brister Rd., Jayess, will hold a Homecoming Celebration beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 2. Bro. Kevin Trantham will be the guest speaker. Carmel Baptist Church, located at 1157 Carmel New Hope Rd., Monticello, will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday, May 2. Former and past members are encouraged to attend. Forever Youngs at Monticello United Methodist Church will resume at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 4.
Thursday, May 20
The Mississippi Well Owner Network will present a free, educational workshop on May 20 at the Lawrence County Extension Office in Monticello. This program is for local residents who depend on private home wells for their water needs. Well owners may submit samples of their well water for screening and may pick up approved sample containers from the Extension office from May 5 to 19. Water samples may be dropped off from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 20, and onsite technical assistance will be available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To pre-register for the workshop, visit http://msuext.ms/mswon online, or call 662-325-1788.

Topeka Tilton Outreach Mission, 779 China Grove Rd., Jayess, serves USDA non-perishable food items from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the first and second Saturday of each month. Application must be completed for eligibility to receive said food.
Topeka Tilton Outreach Mission, 779 China Grove Rd., Jayess, Clothes Closet is open from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the first and second Saturday of each month. All sizes of clothing, shoes, toys, household items at very low prices. Come shop for many unique items, too.
