Lawrence County Historical Society will hold a bake sale from 7:45 a.m. until on Friday, April 2 at Monticello Cleaners, 437 E. Broad St. in Monticello. All proceeds will benefit the Society. For more information, call Pat Neal at 601-669-6619.

Sunday, April 4

Carmel Baptist Church, located at 1157 Carmel New Hope Rd., Monticello, will celebrate Easter with a sunrise service at 6 a.m. April 4 in the church cemetery, followed by coffee and donuts. Monticello United Methodist Church will hold Easter services on April 4. Sunrise service will be at 7 a.m. at Cooper’s Ferry Park, bring a chair. Traditional Easter service will be at the church at 10 a.m.

Monticello United Methodist Church’s Lenten offering this year will support the Bread Of Life Ministry. A special offering will be taken on Easter Sunday morning, April 4. This church is also saving paper bags for the Bread of Life Ministry. Please drop them off in the fellowship hall.

Wednesday, April 7

Adult Bible Study will be at noon on Wednesday, April 7 at Monticello United Methodist Church. There will be no study this Holy Week.

Wednesday, April 14

Monticello United Methodist Church’s Pastor Staff Committee meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 14.

Saturday, April 17

The Second Annual Cruisin’for a Cure Randy Carr Memorial Car Show will be held from 8 a.m. until 2 pm. on Saturday, April 17 at the Atwood Water Park in Monticello. Sunday, May 2

Carmel Baptist Church, located at 1157 Carmel New Hope Rd., Monticello, will celebrate Homecoming on Sunday, May 2. Former and past members are encouraged to attend. Sunday school will be at 10 a.m., morning worship at 11a.m., followed by dinner on the ground and special music. There will be no evening services. For more information, contact Bro.
